- Apply insect repellent regularly, as sandflies can be prevalent on the beach and their bites can be quite irritating.
- Bring plenty of water, snacks, and high-SPF sunscreen, as shade can be limited and supplies are more expensive than on the mainland.
- Wear sturdy footwear if you plan to take the jungle hike from Koh Touch, as the terrain is rocky and can be steep.
- Ensure you have enough cash (USD or Riel) before leaving Sihanoukville, as there are no ATMs on Koh Rong.
Best Time to Visit:
The ideal time to visit is during the dry season from mid-November to February, when the weather is pleasantly warm (25°C-30°C), the skies are clear, and the sea is at its calmest. The months of March to May are also sunny but can become very hot, with temperatures reaching up to 35°C.
